Have you ever found yourself sitting in the cinema dreaming of a life in the glammest industry around? Could you be the next Albert Broccoli or Jerry Bruckheimer? This could be your lucky day……….
A producer comes up with an idea for a programme, puts together a team to create it and supervises the entire project.
As producer for the day you will learn about conceptualising an idea for a film and about how the production process works, from identifying a project, through to pre- and post-production to distribution and exploitation. You will develop a good understanding of the technical aspects of production and about how to market the finished production effectively.
At the end of the day, in your teams, you will be given the task of producing your own short film using your new found knowledge. Each team will showcase their film in a simulated cinema.
Becoming a Producer for a Day will encourage creativity and strong leadership. It will also develop planning skills and strong business acumen but most importantly give staff a fascinating insight into the life of a producer and a glimpse at what those Hollywood big guns really get up to!
